Griffin Gilchrist
Staff Attorney
Griffin Gilchrist is a staff attorney at the Rocky Mountain Veterans Advocacy Project
(RMVAP). His work is primarily focused on discharge upgrades and VA benefits. Griffin
holds a Bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Colorado, where he focused
on the history of the American West. After graduating from the University of Colorado,
Griffin pursued his legal education at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
While at DU, Griffin participated in the Environmental Law clinic and was recognized
with the Provost Scholarship. Griffin graduated from law school with his Juris Doctor
(J.D.) and a certificate in Environmental & Natural Resource Law & Policy. Previously,
Griffin worked as a contract attorney for a firm in Denver. In this role, he advised small
business clients and worked on a federal grant program related to agriculture. While not
a veteran himself, he is dedicated to providing excellent legal services to those who
have served our nation. Griffin is eager to bring his legal experience and passion for
advocacy to the RMVAP.
Griffin is a Colorado native who was raised on a cattle ranch in western Colorado. In his
free time, Griffin enjoys spending as much time outside as possible. His hobbies include
skiing, hunting, golf, fly fishing, and hiking.
