"I have lived my entire post military life in shame after being discharged with a general discharge after a suicide attempt while serving in the Navy. I would not tell people I was in the service, I would omit my military to history from resumes and simply not talk about it. I felt as if I had failed my country, my family and myself. I learned nearly 25 years later that these discharges are often done in error, and there is legal recourse. I hired RMVAP to help me fight my injustices. Not only did Natalie, Brad and their team help me get service connected for the trauma I suffered, in October of 2022 we received some of the best news I have ever gotten! The Navy agreed that my discharge should be upgraded to Honorable, and Personality Disorder will be removed from my DD214. I don't have words for the joy I am feeling. This victory was a major weight that has been lifted from my shoulders. I am so grateful that I decided to go on this journey and I cannot thank RMVAP for the compassion and understanding they had for me and my case."
